For as long as I can remember I have always heard stories about my grandpa, Edward Ames being a pump guy and knowing all there was to know about them. I was told it was a family business.
Going through grandma and grandpa's papers after they died I found this old business card from the Ames Bros. The Ames Bros talked about here are James Ames and Otis Ames. They worked together for many years in Oakdale, California. They were well known well and water men in the area.
